Shire’s Great Food Fight! Collects 71 TONS
Once again, big-hearted high school students across Southeastern Pennsylvania showed just how much they can make a difference in the fight against hunger. The two week food drive competition among 21 schools in 5 different counties brought in 71 tons of food, beating last year’s total of 64 tons. That’s incredible!
Owen J. Roberts High School of Chester County collected the most food with 11 tons in just two weeks. Holy Ghost Preparatory School of Bucks County collected the most food per student with 40 pounds per student totaling more than 10 tons of food. Way to fight hunger!
Congratulations to all the schools for making the 71 tons of food possible!
