The Feinstein Challenge

What it is….
Each year Rhode Island’s Alan Shawn Feinstein issues his challenge to raise money and hunger awareness to Food Relief organizations throughout the United States. The goal is to help organizations from food pantries to food banks raise additional funds to fight hunger, and raise local community awareness about hunger, and how it affects neighbors living among us. To sweeten that challenge, he puts $1 million of his money on the table, to be distributed proportionately to all hunger organizations participating.

What we do….
We issue the challenge to supporters through a limited special mailing and through this web site.

What you can do….
Make a donation specifically to meet the Feinstein Challenge. Only funds given to the Challenge from March 1st through April 30th count toward meeting the Challenge.

If you choose to make your donation online or by phone, be sure to choose "Feinstein Challenge" from the drop down table under “How Did You Hear About Philabundance” or mention the Challenge to our staff member taking your gift information.

If you prefer to mail in your contribution to Philabundance, please enclose a note or write Feinstein Challenge in the memo section of your check. Please send your donation to: Philabundance, 3616 South Galloway Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148.

Remember, the more money we can raise, the bigger our piece of the Feinstein pie.
