Home Runs Against Hunger

Not that Philadelphians needed another reason to hope that Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, or Jason Werth hit a home run this season, but we have one! For each home run hit by a member of the Philadelphia Phillies, Hatfield Quality Meats will donate 100 pounds of meat.

And if the Phillies can make the 2010 season anything like 2009, that would be almost 25,000 protein-packed meals donated to our neighbors in need.

So be sure to go out and root extra loudly for the Fightin’ Phils this season, as each home run brings us closer to ending hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley.
