Alta S. Leary Elementary School in Warminster, PA raised over $3,000 for Philabundance through their Empty Bowls fundraiser on March 28th. Every child, from kindergarten to fifth grade, made a ceramic bowl for the dinner. Guests chose a bowl to use that day and to keep as a reminder that there are always Empty Bowls in the world. In exchange for a meal and the bowl, the guests gave a suggested minimum donation of 12 dollars. The children of Leary Elementary now understand that one little person can make a tremendous difference!
