A little office competition can be a good thing, especially when it’s benefiting the 72,000 Delaware Valley residents Philabundance provides food to each week.
The increase in people coming to us for food, high food costs and a decrease in donations are putting a strain on hunger relief organizations during a time when more people are relying on food pantries to make ends meet. Many of those struggling are often holding down several jobs and still forced to choose between groceries and other household expenses like utilities or other bills.
A corporate food drive can build your employees’ enthusiasm and get everybody working together toward a common goal. Food that is collected at your food drive is sorted at our Hunger Relief Center and becomes available to a network of nearly 500 member agencies which consist of food pantries, shelters and emergency kitchens across the Delaware Valley. Philabundance employees and our dedicated volunteers repack all of our non-perishable donations so that we can quickly and easily distribute a wide assortment of food to the community.
