ACME has been “your neighborhood grocer” for 120 years, proving that they possess a true spirit of perseverance, motivation, and perhaps most importantly, commitment to community. As part of this commitment, ACME has been a loyal supporter of Philabundance for a large part of our organization’s history.

Since 2006, Philabundance has benefited from hundreds of thousands of dollars in charitable giving helping us continue to fight hunger in the Delaware Valley.  This year alone, ACME, with the support of their loyal customers raised an unprecedented $44,000 through Food For All – a point-of-sale program offered at each of the 71 ACME stores.

Since 2005, ACME has donated more than 2.6 million pounds of self-stable product as well as fresh meat, dairy and produce to Philabundance’s Grocers Against Hunger program.
As part of their core beliefs, ACME gives generously to charities that focus on health and nutrition issues, so they are truly focused on the well-being of the community.  We are proud to call ACME this quarter’s prized partner supporting us in the fight against hunger throughout the area.  As we move into summer and beyond, Philabundance and ACME will be embarking on initiatives that will have an even greater impact on hunger relief.
