Adam Brok’s Walk Against Hunger- Pittsburgh to Philadelphia

One young man has decided to take a stand against hunger. After an internship in Philadelphia that allowed him to witness first hand the struggles of families living in poverty, Adam decided to walk from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia to raise awareness about the issue of hunger and homelessness, and raise funds for the organizations along the route that work to alleviate these problems.

On August 1st, Adam will set out from the Jubilee Soup Kitchen in Pittsburgh early in the morning, and walk the 364+ miles to a Philabundance agency.

Adam is asking for your help. He needs:

1) places to stay along the route
2) food to eat
c) friends and supporters to walk with him for any distance (short or long)

Follow Adam’s route and read his blog.

And if you are able, Adam is asking for donations to support Philabundance in our efforts to alleviate hunger.

Or you can send a check to:
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank
1 N Linden St
Duquesne, PA 15110

Please mark the check “Adam’s Walk” and specify that you want the funds to go Philabundance.
