Bruce Auction & Concert Raises 21,000+ Meals!

One of the winning bidders, Mark Segal, attended the show with son, Jake Segal, who got to not only attend the show, but sing on stage with the Boss himself!

Long time supporter, Bruce Springsteen donated two exclusive Philly concert packages for Philabundance to auction off to two deserving fans. The concert packages included premier seating to his March 29th show as well as exclusive passes to the E Street Lounge. After two weeks of bidding,  the concert packages were sold, raising more than $3200, enough to provide more than 6,500 meals for those who need it most. Additionally, we raffled off two tickets to the Boss’ March 28th concert for anyone who placed a bid on the concert packages.

Inspired by the cause and passion of the Boss himself, Bruce fans donated throughout the evening at the March 29th concert, raising more than $7,500, enough to provide 15,000 meals for those in need.

To cap off our Bruce Springsteen craze in March, the National Constitution Center in partnership with CBS 3, wrapped up a month long food drive that offered fans the opportunity to donate canned items in exchange for reduced admission to his exhibit, From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen. The exhibition takes a comprehensive look at Springsteen’s catalog, from such early bands such as Child, the Castiles and Steel Mill through his work with the E Street Band and as a solo artist.

Big thanks to to all the Bruce fans that helped ensure families in our region have food on their tables.
