Cupcake Competition at PYT to Benefit Philabundance

Philabundance and PYT have joined forces to bring the city’s cupcake bakers together for a cupcake baking competition like no other and they are looking for challengers! It doesn’t matter if you’re an amateur or a professional, an at-home cupcake guru or a twittering cupcake truck owner, everyone is welcome to sign up.

The Cupcake Smash will be held at PYT in The Piazza, next Saturday, April 30, from 2pm – 6pm, when Philabundance and PYT challenge bakers to create cupcakes inspired by Tommy Up’s famous burgers.

Tickets to this event are $15 in advance or $20 at the door and all proceeds will go to Philabundance. There will be raffle items, cupcake tastings and deals on PYT’s menu items.

A panel of celebrity judges will choose the winning cupcake, which will be featured on PYT’s menu for a limited time. Judges include PYT Owner, Tommy Up, Shmitten Kitten’s Anna Goldfarb, The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Michael Klein, and Phrequency’s Leah Kauffman.

If you are interested in competing, contact the Philabundance Cupcake Coordinator, Melissa Mae at CakesForCauses@gmail.com.
