Eat Pizza, Help Philabundance

Main Line Times

Tony Roni’s Pizza is teaming up with the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger-relief organization, Philabundance, in an effort to drive hunger out of the city with “93 Days of Summer.” The summer-long event was jumpstarted June 21 with Tony Roni’s donating $1 from every tomato pie sold in its restaurants to Philabundance in an effort to help feed those in need.

For thousands of kids around the Delaware Valley, summertime means living without free or reduced-price meals at school, and watching their parents struggle to get food on the table. During the school year, nearly 300,000 Delaware Valley children get such meals. Tony Roni’s “93 Days of Summer” campaign is being run with the Philabundance “Summer Meals” campaign, working to ensure that every area child is fed this summer.

With each of the seven Tony Roni’s Pizza locations across the Delaware Valley participating (including stores on City Avenue and Montgomery Avenue), the pizzeria hopes to sell at least 5,000 pies during the campaign.
