Hunger Hero Kyseer

Hunger heroes come in all shapes and size – and ages! Take it from Kyseer Oliver, a 10-year-old who volunteers with his mom one night each month at our Hunger Relief Center, helping pack and sort food that goes to our neighbors in need. He loves volunteering… read on to find out why.

Name: Kyseer Oliver

Age: 10

Grade: 5th

What do you do in your free time? Play outside with my friends, and play video games!

What volunteer activity do you do? Packing food in boxes for Philabundance.

Why do you volunteer? Because I like helping people.

How do you feel when you volunteer? I feel happy because I’m helping people

What do you think about hunger? It makes me feel sad because people don’t have food to eat

How do you think we can help fight hunger together? By spreading awareness about Philabundance and how they help people.

On an empty stomach I feel… Hungry! My stomach hurts.

My favorite foods are… Ravioli and bacon!

This Hunger Action Month, follow in Kyseer’s footsteps and take action against hunger now.
