Philabundance Community Kitchen, perhaps one of Philly’s best-kept secrets, is an innovative adult culinary vocational job-training program that operates out of a North Philly shelter. This program provides low income and unemployed individuals (18 and older) with the ability to acquire high-level culinary training as they work to better their lives. For someone new to PCK, a trip to the kitchen would find the trainees serving up scrumptious dishes like filet mignon with bell pepper haystacks and gluten free brownies with vanilla ice cream.
