Philabundance Announces Newest Board Chair And Members

PHILADELPHIA – April 12, 2010 – Philabundance, the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization, names board member, Alan Casnoff, as new board chair. Casnoff, of Philadelphia, is a partner at P & A Associates of Philadelphia.

In addition, Philabundance’s newest board members include Jacqueline Brady (Bryn Mawr, Pa.), Executive Vice President of Urdang Capital Management, Inc.; Richard Ferst (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.), CEO of Urdang & Associates; Jerrold Frezel (Philadelphia), retired executive; Murvin Lackey (Philadelphia), Executive Vice President and senior advisor at PRWT; Cheryl Martin (Philadelphia), Executive in Residence at Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers; and Beryl Simonson (Philadelphia), managing director of RSM McGladrey, Inc. and a partner in McGladrey & Pullen LLP.

Philabundance is the region’s largest hunger relief organization fighting hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley. Philabundance provides a full plate of services to close to 500 member agencies in nine counties, who serve approximately 900,000 low income residents. Philabundance provides food to approximately 65,000 people per week, at an aggregate cost of less than 30 cents per meal.
