Philabundance Celebrates Volunteer Appreciation Week!
Philabundance celebrated Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 23-27) by recognizing all of our devoted volunteers for the incredible job they do supporting us in our many different programs, from packing food at the Hunger Relief Center, distributing fresh food at our Fresh for All sites or stocking shelves at the Community Food Center. With 16,000 volunteers coming through our doors every year, it’s no wonder that we have been able to serve 65,000 people in need a week!
Over 500 volunteers pitched in during Volunteer Appreciation Week, helping to sort and pack thousands of pounds of food that will be distributed to thousands of families in need. Volunteer groups included helpers from Comcast, PECO, Ritz Carlton, Drexel University and more.
Thank you once again to our fantastic volunteers and inspiring hunger fighters!
