Philabundance is Holding A “Cupcake Smash” Baking Competition At PYT On April 30
By Allison Stadd
There are almost a million people in the Delaware Valley who face hunger every day. Help Philabundance fight that statistic, at the Cupcake Smash baking competition Saturday, April 30, 2-6 p.m. at PYT in the Piazza at Schmidts.
Philabundance is challenging the Philadelphia area’s cupcake bakers to create cupcakes inspired by the burgers on PYT’s adventurous menu (think Cheesesteak Pretzel Roll Burger, Pistachio Crusted Lamb Burger, Surf N’ Turf Truffled Lobster Burger …). It’s an opportunity for competitors to create truly one-of-a-kind treats that also help our community.
Local foodie Felicia D’Ambrosio will emcee, and the panel of celebrity judges includes PYT’s Tommy Up, Anna Goldfarb from Shmitten Kitten, The Inquirer’s Michael Klein and Phrequency’s Leah Kauffman. The judges will select the winning cupcake, which will be featured on the PYT menu for a limited time.
Both amateur and professional bakers are welcome to compete. If you have an interest in participating, email CakesForCauses@gmail.com for more information.
