Philabundance’s Paulsboro Fresh For All Site Needs Volunteers
Volunteers needed to help distribute produce to families in need
Philadelphia, Pa – February 28, 2013 – The Philabundance Fresh For All (FFA) site Paulsboro serves nearly 130 households every week and is in need of volunteers to help operate the site. The site is located at the Paulsboro Moose Lodge, 402 Cook Ave, Paulsboro, NJ and distributes food every Thursday. Volunteers are needed between 2 pm and 4 pm. For more information on volunteering, email email@example.com or call 215-339-0900.
Fresh For All is like a traveling farmers market that provides fresh fruits and vegetables directly to neighbors in need in areas with limited access to affordable produce. The Paulsboro site distributes 3,200 pounds of food each week and more than 641,000 pounds of food since the site opened in July 2009.
“Fresh For All has proven to be a program that the community really needs and relies on and that is exactly why it was created,” said Bill Clark, president and executive director of Philabundance. “In fact, this site in Paulsboro is registering about five new households each week. We need to make sure it continues to run smoothly with the help of reliable volunteers, especially since we do not see the need for Fresh For All going away anytime soon.”
Though times vary by location, each distribution requires 2 hours and 10-15 volunteers. For information on volunteering or partnering with Philabundance to adopt an FFA site, call 215-339-0900 or visit www.philabundance.org/FreshForAll.
