The Western Cape Citrus Producers Forum (WCCPF) along with New Jersey based importers, Fisher Capespan and AMC donated fresh oranges to Philabundance as part of an event at Holt Logistics Corporations. The event, attended by South Africa’s Ambassador to the U.S., the Honorable Ebrahim Rasool, highlighted the importance of South African Summer Citrus and how expanded trade between Africa and the U.S. benefit the regional and broader U.S. economy

The citrus industry is a vital source of employment in South Africa as well as Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Additionally, produce donations are a valued donated product for Philabundance as we seek to provide our clients with high nutritional value.

We thank Western Cape Citrus Producers Forum (WCCPF), New Jersey based importers, Fisher Capespan and AMC for their generous citris donation and the Honorable Ebrahim Rasool for bringing awareness to the importance of the interdependency between the South African and US economies.
