Peanut Butter is eaten in 90 percent of households in the United States and still many families in the Delaware Valley cannot afford this household staple. Due to its high nutritional value and long shelf life peanut butter is a valuable resource in fighting hunger. Philabundance is experiencing a 23 percent increase in need over the last year and a 143 percent increase in need over the last four years which is why community participation is more important now than ever before.

“Subaru is a proud sponsor of Philabundance’s Spread the Love campaign for a second year. The community-wide support that we saw last year was so inspiring and makes a true difference in the fight against hunger,” said Matt Ritter, director of the Philadelphia zone office for Subaru. “Our commitment to supporting organizations like Philabundance that make a lasting impact in our communities is at the core of what our brand is all about.”

“Spread the Love has been such a successful way to get the community involved in a really profound way,” said Bill Clark, president and executive director of Philabundance. “This campaign, and our partnership with Subaru, is incredibly important, because peanut butter is a high demand item that we can feel good giving to those in need, especially the kids.”

Spread the Love food drive is not possible without the help of our partners, Subaru, MORE FM and Elite Island Resorts.
