Spread the Love with Philabundance and Subaru for Valentine’s Day

Subaru will donate a jar of peanut butter or jelly for every new “Like” Philabundance gets on Facebook

WebPhiladelphia, Pa- February 4, 2013– Spread the Love is back for the fourth year and Philabundance needs community wide support to help collect as much peanut butter and jelly as possible from February 5th through February 15th. Peanut butter is in high demand by the community in need because it is kid-friendly and has high nutritional value. Peanuts contain more than 30 essential nutrients and are naturally cholesterol-free.

 Subaru will donate one jar of peanut butter or jelly to Philabundance for every “Like” Philabundance gets on Facebook from February 5th through February 15th. Philabundance is also giving away a $500 airline voucher within the continental US from US Airways or a 7-night stay at a Caribbean resort through Elite Island Resorts.

The average child will eat 1,500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches before he or she graduates high school but believe it or not, many families in the Delaware Valley can’t afford this nutritious source of protein for their children. Philabundance is experiencing a 29 percent increase in need over the last year and a 98 percent increase in need over the last three years which is why this is more important now than ever before.
