The 2nd Annual Cupcake Smash Returns to PYT In The Piazza at Schmidts to Support Philabundance, April 28

Think you have all the right ingredients to be crowned winner at Philly’s ultimate bake-off?

Then show us your sweet stuff, as Philabundance and PYT join forces again for a Cupcake Smash, Saturday, April 28.

Drawing inspiration from PYT’s creative menu of goodness (think Krispy Kreme burgers with chocolate dipped bacon), all bakers, amateur and professional, are encouraged to try out for the challenge by sending requests to chief cupcake coordinator Melissa Mae at cakesforcauses@gmail.com.

This year’s bakers will be judged by the taste buds of Tony Luke Jr. of Tony Luke’s, PYT owner Tommy Up, The Inquirer’s Michael Klein, Drew Lazor of City Paper and Wendy Rollins from Radio 104.5.

If your skills are better suited at nibbling and licking your fingers than whipping up batter and frosting, tickets are available to attend the event and sample over a dozen of the competition’s best treats.

Cupcake cravers will also enjoy live music, complimentary beverages from PBR, St. Germain and FUZE as well as snacks from the Piazza’s outdoor food vendors.

Best of all, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Philabundance, Delaware Valley’s largest relief organization to help fight hunger.

Cupcake Smash
