The Keswick Theatre Holds Food Drive for Philabundance

Philadelphia, Pa.- April 11, 2011- The Keswick Theatre in Glenside will hold a food drive to benefit Philabundance, the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization, from April 14-23 in conjunction with the three day production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Those interested in participating in the food drive can drop off non-perishable and non-glass goods during the show or in the lobby during regular business hours. Keswick Theater is located at 291 N. Keswick Ave., Glenside, Pa.

Last winter, Keswick Theatre provided 1200 meals to neighbors in need during food drives that ran in November and December. Keswick Theater is accepting canned foods like tuna, beef stew, chili, pasta, beef ravioli, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, canned fruit cocktail, green beans, corn, and breakfast or hot cereal in plastic containers or boxes.

“We want to thank Keswick Theater for holding another food drive for Philabundance,” said Marianne Lynch, director of development for Philabundance. “Philabundance has seen a decrease in food donations and an increase in need which is why Keswick Theater’s food drive comes at an integral time.”
