The SNAP Fight Continues…

Posted by Philabundance Digital Media on October 9th, 2017

Unfortunately, this Thursday the House passed their 2018 budget resolution, which includes $10 billion in cuts to SNAP (food stamps) over ten years. Thankfully, this is just one step in the process and the fight to protect SNAP continues.

We also want to thank our members of congress, representing the vast majority of Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware counties, who voted against this budget and in support of the low-income families in our communities. We greatly appreciate them standing up and speaking out against these cuts – especially the republicans who voted against their party to help people in need.

  • Dwight Evans (PA-2)
  • Ryan Costello (PA-6)
  • Pat Meehan (PA-7)
  • Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-8)
  • Brendan Boyle (PA-13)
