Toll communities hold food drive
Toll Brothers is hosting its fifth annual Holiday Food Drive to benefit Philabundance. Participating communities are collecting non-perishable food donations until January 31 at Toll Brothers’ decorated model homes. Communities in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Lehigh, and Monroe counties are participating.
During last year’s food drive, a total of 1,452 pounds of food was collected. Over the past four years, Toll Brothers has collected over 4,500 pounds of food for the Philabundance organization.
“Our goal is to raise over 2,000 pounds of food this year, and we’re hopeful that the donations we collect will help Philabundance in its efforts to make nutritious food accessible to all,” said Greg LaGreca, Toll Brothers division vice president.
Suggested donations include canned fruits and vegetables, breakfast cereal or hot cereal, macaroni and cheese, canned/shelf-stable tuna, canned pork and beans/baked beans, canned pasta, canned chili/beef stew, jelly, and creamy peanut butter. Cash donations will also be accepted at all participating communities.
Philabundance is a nonprofit organization fighting hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley.
