The Philabundance Community Kitchen (PCK) is run by a passionate and talented group of culinary professionals.

Nick Wolber, Director of the Philabundance Community Kitchen: Nick grew up in New York before moving to Philadelphia in 2015. He has worked in restaurants on Long Island, as well as with several caterers, restaurant groups, and companies in the Philadelphia area. Nick’s experience in Philadelphia includes working with organizations like Garces Group, Sodexo, and 12th Street Catering before joining Philabundance in 2020. He originally started as catering chef before shifting to his role as director in January 2024. Nick enjoys training and developing students and staff to reach their culinary potential.

Candace Matthews-Bass, Manager of Job Training: Over the past 25 years, Candace has helped co-found and grow PCK’s program into multidimensional workforce development training. With a background in psychology and community development, Candace and her esteemed teams have trained more than 1,100 program graduates; mentored agencies nationwide in community kitchen development; and, most importantly, worked personally to inspire transformation in students, staff, and colleagues through relationship building.

Tiffany Peacock, Job Training Specialist: Tiffany has been a servant-leader and change agent for 20-plus years. As a force in the workforce development world, Tiffany contributes to the culinary training program by showing up authentically, so each student knows they are worth the investment. She takes great pride in introducing students to life skills while working to recruit for the program.

Julia Revilla, Catering and Events Chef: Julia’s extensive background working in restaurants, catering, and culinary education throughout the Twin Cities, Minnesota; New York City; and Western North Carolina has been paramount to her role at PCK. She is grateful to work among so many inspiring people while sharing her experience and cooking delicious food with a purpose.ce in the workforce development world, Tiffany contributes to the culinary training program by showing up authentically, so each student knows they are worth the investment. She takes great pride in introducing students to life skills while working to recruit for the program.

Brian Ricci, Chef Instructor: Brian has been a cook and a chef in Philadelphia for 20 years. As chef instructor, Brian teaches culinary fundamentals, facilitates student-led events, and teaches and proctors Servsafe. Brian is leading the PCK efforts to implement alumni continuing education.

Samir Y. Hernandez, Assistant Chef Instructor: Samir has been cooking in the industry for 3 years after graduating PCK (Class No. 69) in 2017. By 2020, he was able to join the PCK Job Training Team, assisting Chef Brian in coaching culinary fundamentals and teaching the Serve Managerial Certificate. Samir’s main objective for students is to help them to grow into the confident humans they are capable of being. “Be better than you were the day before.”

Cameron Guthrie, Employment Specialist: Originally from New Orleans, Chef Cam has 30 years’ experience working in the hospitality industry. From busser to executive chef, his insight into the industry from a variety of angles is the tool he uses to pair students and graduates of PCK with perfect-match internships and long-lasting job opportunities.
