Phans Feeding Families 2021

Since 2011, Citizens and the Phillies have teamed up with Philabundance to fight hunger across Greater Philadelphia, raising over half a million dollars to provide more than one million meals for our neighbors in need.

We are grateful to Citizens for generously contributing $50,000 to kick off the 2021 Phans Feeding Families virtual food drive. This donation will provide up to 100,000 meals to individuals and families in need.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a serious impact on food insecurity in the region, an already troublesome issue for Philadelphia, America’s poorest big city. Since the start of the pandemic, the Philabundance agency network has seen a 60% increase in the need for food across our service area. To help those in need during these challenging times, please support us through this year’s Phans Feeding Families virtual food drive!

How to support

Virtual Food Drives

A virtual food drive is a great way to get your community involved in raising funds and increasing awareness about hunger in our area. By “shopping” in our virtual store as a team, individuals, friends, family and coworkers can collectively multiply the amount of food usual donations would provide.

Donating to the Phans Feeding Families virtual food drive allows Philabundance to purchase high-quality items for a low price. With items like canned goods, meat, dairy and produce, there are a variety of food options for participants to choose from. Not to mention, virtual food drives and online donation pages save us valuable resources, such as trucks, fuel and staff hours.

At the Ballpark

Join us at the ballpark on Saturday, May 22 for Phans Feeding Families Night as the Phillies take on the Boston Red Sox at 7:15PM. While we won’t be collecting non-perishable food at the game this year, there will be many other opportunities throughout the game to show your support to Philabundance.

Phillies Charities, Inc. Auction
