
Loree D. Jones
Chief Executive Officer
As our Chief Executive Officer, Loree leads Philabundance in setting priorities and determining our vision. Before joining Philabundance in June of 2020, Loree was chief of staff at Rutgers University-Camden and has served in leadership positions in nonprofit organizations, education and city government throughout her career, including roles with the School District of Philadelphia and as the managing director for the City of Philadelphia.
Her extensive nonprofit experience includes serving as co-executive director of City Year Greater Philadelphia, an educational nonprofit that deploys young leaders for a year of service as tutors and mentors to public school students, and as executive director of the African Studies Association, the largest scholarly association for the study of Africa in the world. She currently serves on multiple boards of directors, including Health Partners Plans, the Philadelphia Health Partnership, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the Independence Foundation. She is a member of the UNCF Philadelphia Leadership Council and the Hope Center for College, Community and Justice advisory board. She is also a member of the Forum of Executive Women and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
As an Eisenhower Fellow, she studied how South African municipalities provide social services. She is an alumna of the British American Project, a transatlantic fellowship for leaders from a broad spectrum of occupations, backgrounds and political views.
She was the first recipient of the Urban League of Philadelphia’s Whitney M. Young Jr. Young Leader Award, was listed as one of the “10 People Under 40 to Watch” by the Philadelphia Tribune Magazine and was twice recognized by Leadership Philadelphia as a “Connector” – one who connects for the common good. Loree holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Spelman College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and a Master of Arts degree in History from Princeton University. She studied in Dakar, Senegal while in college and later conducted graduate research in Senegal at Cheikh Anta Diop Université in Dakar, where she studied in French and Wolof.

Stacey Behm
Senior Vice President, Chief Programs Officer
As Chief Programs Officer, Stacey oversees all Philabundance logistics and programs including warehousing and inventory control, transportation, repack, sustainability and all community food programs – both direct and through our network of 350+ member agencies. Stacey has been with Philabundance since 2015, first serving as Director of Business Process Improvement and subsequently as Vice President of Information Technology and Process Improvement. Prior to Philabundance, Stacey worked at The Pew Charitable Trusts as Manager of Donor Support Services. Before joining Pew, Stacey held director-level positions in database and operations management at Allina Health, a 12 hospital not-for-profit health care system in Minnesota, and the University of Minnesota. Stacey is a graduate of Rowan University of New Jersey.

Melanie J. Cataldi
Senior Vice President, Chief Impact Officer
As Chief Impact Officer, Melanie oversees the development and execution of key strategies that contribute to ending food insecurity in the Delaware Valley. Primarily focusing on identifying, developing, and launching partnerships and policies that help to end hunger, Melanie manages programs that help alleviate hunger and move individuals and families towards ending hunger for good. Melanie has been with Philabundance since 2000, first serving as program Director of the Delaware Valley Community Kitchen (now Philabundance Community Kitchen). Her subsequent positions at Philabundance include Nutrition Services, Director of Programs, and Senior Vice President of Programs and Operations. Most recently, Melanie served as Chief Operating Officer and oversaw Philabundance logistics and programs including warehousing and inventory control, transportation, repack, facilities, job training, meal production and all community food programs. Prior to Philabundance, Melanie served as a nutrition educator at Temple University and has over 10 years of experience in the life insurance industry. Melanie received her Masters of Public Health from Temple University and her Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University.

Sara Hertz
Senior Vice President, Chief Development Officer
As Chief Development Officer at Philabundance, Sara is responsible for developing strategies to secure and manage new and existing donors, providing oversight of the grants, direct mail, major gifts and corporate sponsorship programs, and collaborating closely with other teams to determine funding needed to help end hunger for good. With more than 30 years of experience in development roles, Sara has worked with many top companies in a fundraising capacity, including: Schultz & Williams, a national fundraising consulting firm; Conservation International; the Academy of Natural Sciences; and the Philadelphia Zoo. A native of Philadelphia, Sara is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a B.A. in English.

Gina Harlan
Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining Philabundance, Harlan served as the Vice President of Finance at Integrated Fresh Solutions LLC, where she was responsible for the company’s planning, implementation, and management of all finance activities. She also has served as CFO at Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc., and has held finance roles with Magnetic Metals Corporation, Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C., BDO Seidman, and the Michaels Organization.
Harlan has a B.S. in Accounting and MBA with a concentration in finance from Holy Family University. She lives in South Jersey with her wife and two rescue Chihuahuas.
