Philadelphia Police Department Delivers Food Donation Ahead of Giving Tuesday

Over 15 packed police vehicles delivered donations to Philabundance’s South Philadelphia warehouse on Monday, December 1, 2025.

The Philadelphia Police Department launched the food drive initiative two weeks leading up to Giving Tuesday to give back to Philadelphians this holiday season. Officers and professional staff from police districts across the city collected non-perishable items and donated a total of two tons of food to support families facing hunger.

“We’re really hoping it makes families enjoy the holidays a little bit more,” said Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Mike Cram. “It’s one less thing they have to worry about and helps them get through the holidays with a little more spirit.”

The department plans to continue gathering food throughout the holidays and encourages community members to bring donations to their nearest precinct.
