Now in its fifth year, the Philadelphia Eagles partnered with Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association to host the 9/11 Day of Service Meal-Packing Event on September 9, 2026. This event brought together more than 2,000 volunteers from both local and national companies to pack 1 million meals that Philabundance will distribute to community partners across southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.
The impact of the meal-packing event is not only about the number of meals produced, but also about honoring those lost during the 9/11 tragedy through acts of service. Organized by the 9/11 Day Organization, the event gathered volunteers from across the region at Lincoln Financial Field with one shared purpose: to unite for good.
“We can do something, we can take a stand, and we can all be heroes in different ways,” said Philabundance Chief of External Affairs Kate Scully. “The meals we’re packing today are meals that families can simply add water to and they’re ready to serve.”
Every meal packed represents an opportunity to help a person or family put food on the table. And every volunteer represents the power of a community that believes no one should have to wonder where their next meal will come from.
