October 2020 Newsroom

October marks the first month of the busiest time of year for food banks across the country. To kick off what Philabundance calls “Excitement Season,” CEO Loree Jones and Sister Mary Scullion of Project HOME penned an opinion piece emphasizing the need for more collaboration in the fight against hunger, homelessness and poverty. Philabundance Director of Food Sourcing Kait Bowdler was named a member of Leadership Philadelphia’s 2020-21 Keepers Cohort. Longtime partner Subaru of America and the Philadelphia Union announced their Garden for Good initiative, providing fresh produce grown at Subaru Park to the Chester City community.
