TruMark Financial Credit Union, in partnership with 11 other local credit unions, delivered 3,903 pounds of food and $56,200 to support Philabundance during its annual food drive and donation drop-off on Wednesday, July 9.
Held at the Philabundance Hunger Relief Center in South Philadelphia, the event featured remarks from TruMark Financial Credit Union CEO Kelly Botti, Philabundance CEO Loree D. Jones Brown, and representatives from participating credit unions.
“We are proud to join forces with our fellow local credit unions to help address food insecurity in our community, especially during the summer months when children lose access to school meals,” Botti said. “By coming together to support Philabundance, we hope to provide vital resources and nourishment to families who need it most. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to making a positive impact where we live and work.”
Philabundance serves over 135,000 individuals weekly through a network of more than 350 community partners across Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Donations like those from TruMark Financial’s annual drive help keep shelves stocked during the most demanding times of year, especially summer, when gifts typically decline but need surges.
