On Saturday, October 4, Philabundance Community Kitchen (PCK) welcomed alumni back to North 10th Street in honor of PCK’s 25th anniversary!
Over 100 graduates of PCK’s culinary training program came together to reconnect with fellow classmates and celebrate their accomplishments. The day’s festivities included music, carnival games, raffle prizes, food vendors, and more. It was commemorative not only to attendees, but also to the entire Philabundance community, of the lasting impacts PCK has, both in and out of the kitchen.
“Each student is special, and each graduation is a milestone for the program and participants,” Program Manager Candace Matthews-Bass said “With 25 years of continuous classes and operations, PCK Homecoming is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reminisce, reconnect, and celebrate our collective impact. For many, returning to where their career or personal growth started is heartwarming and is a reminder that PCK still has their backs!”
