Philabundance Receives $57,187 from Foxwynd Foundation

Philabundance recently received a generous $57,187 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation, distributed through the Foxwynd Foundation Donor Advised Fund (DAF).

This gift will be used to purchase new kitchen equipment at Philabundance Community Kitchen (PCK), including a commercial dishwasher and grill, as part of PCK’s kitchen modernization project. The project aims to improve the nutritional contents of each meal produced at PCK, while increasing kitchen efficiency and meal production capacity.

PCK offers a 16-week culinary training program for adults who qualify for public benefits. As part of the curriculum, students produce meals that are distributed to Philabundance’s community partners, including shelters, health care facilities, and other community resource sites. In 2025 alone, PCK’s meal production team, including students, produced more than 469,000 meals.

“We are deeply grateful to Foxwynd Foundation for their incredible support of the Philabundance Community Kitchen,” said Loree D. Jones Brown, chief executive officer of Philabundance. “Their support of our culinary training program shows a commitment to our mission to not only drive hunger from communities today but also to work to end hunger for good.”

“At Foxwynd Foundation, we believe that sustainable change comes from investing in organizations that combine compassionate service with lasting impact. Philabundance Community Kitchen not only provides nutritious meals to those facing food insecurity but also empowers individuals with the skills and opportunities needed to build brighter futures,” said Jenn Hebert, trustee of the Foxwynd Foundation.
