Toyota Tundra Haul Away Hunger Returns for the 15th Year

For the 15th year, we’ve partnered with the Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association to fight food insecurity, hauling over 345,000 pounds of food to help our neighbors in need. The Toyota Tundra Food Drive is a key part of the “Haul Away Hunger” initiative, supporting Philabundance in its mission to address hunger now and end it for good. With food insecurity still a major issue in Philadelphia, this event plays a crucial role in ensuring families receive the nutritious food they need.

Paul Muller, President of the Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association, emphasizes how Toyota helps “drive hunger out of the community.” The latest USDA report shows the highest food insecurity rate in the U.S. since 2014, with a 25% increase in our service area alone, affecting over 600,000 people. Events like the Toyota Tundra Food Drive are vital in meeting this growing need.

This year, over 80 Toyota Tundras will deliver food to Philabundance, continuing a partnership that has provided over 650,000 pounds of food to local families. Toyota’s donations allow us to supply essential items like dry goods, non-perishables, and fresh produce, which are always in demand. This support is especially timely as the event takes place during September’s Hunger Action Month.

While food insecurity remains a daily challenge, the ongoing partnership between Philabundance and the Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association is making a real difference—one meal at a time—moving us closer to a future where no one has to worry about their next meal.
