Wawa and the Philadelphia Phillies Host Pep Rally for Recent Collab

On Monday, August 17, Wawa hosted a pep rally at its location at 2600 Pennrose Avenue, Philadelphia, to celebrate their collaboration with the Philadelphia Phillies and their recent recognition as the Phillies’ official hoagie.

As part of the celebration, Wawa presented Philabundance with a $90,000 gift, raised from a portion of the proceeds from Wawa kids’ meals. This year-round effort provides a portion of funds from each kids meal sold to Feeding America food banks, including Philabundance, to fund fresh nutritious foods for youth.

“These gifts help our whole community thrive, and strengthen our ability to deliver nutritious, fresh food to the neighbors among us who need it most,” said Philabundance CEO Loree D. Jones Brown. “Wawa’s generosity gives a sense of stability and hope to the nearly 700,000 people in our region facing hunger —it lets them know that we as a community want to help.”

Wawa’s gift will go directly toward supporting our kids’ snack program.
