PHILADELPHIA – In honor of the arrival of the MICHELIN Guide in Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) Foundation is proud to partner with Philabundance to sponsor and champion their Philabundance Community Kitchen (PCK) program. PCK is a 16-week culinary vocational training and life-skills program for adults with low or no income (applicants must be eligible for, or receiving, SNAP benefits), offering hands-on kitchen experience, ServSafe certification, and post-graduation employment support in the food service and restaurant industry.
“By partnering with Philabundance and its Community Kitchen program, we’re investing not only in meals for neighbors facing food insecurity but also in meaningful pathways into Philadelphia’s hospitality workforce,” said Gregg Caren, president and CEO of the PHLCVB. “We invite others to join us in supporting PCK and the full suite of services Philabundance provides to get food to those who need it.”
Following the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Northeast Cities Ceremony on Tuesday, November 18 at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the PHLCVB will work to connect the recognized chefs and restaurateurs to the PCK program to create awareness of employment, mentorship, and partnership opportunities with rising local PCK talent.
The 2025 Northeast Cities Guide will include dining for Chicago, New York City, Washington, D.C., and, for the very first time, Philadelphia and Boston.
